Fishing For Life: Empowering Communities Through Outdoor Engagement
Established in 2004, Fishing For Life has dedicated more than two decades to serving youth, families, veterans, and communities through transformative fishing events and outdoor programs across Minnesota and surrounding states. Our 501(c)(3) non-profit organization creates opportunities for relationships through hands-on fishing events and outdoor programs.
Youth Camps:
Specialty Camps: Providing faith-based fishing and hunting instruction, leadership training, and outdoor experiences for youth aged 11-17, fostering a lasting relationship with nature and Christ.Metro Camps: As an extension of the Reel Hope program, Metro Camps offer more immersive outdoor experiences for youth, providing metro area single day or overnight camps that deepen fishing skills, build confidence, and encourage continued exploration in a supportive, mentorship driven environment.
Deep C’s Men’s Ministry: Deep C’s is a men’s ministry that builds Christcentered relationships, fosters spiritual growth, and encourages service through fellowship, discipleship, and the Biblically-based 5 C’s.
Outdoor Women For Life (OWLS): Outdoor Women For Life (OWLs) is a Christ centered community that brings women together through outdoor adventures and fellowship to foster spiritual growth, connection, and faith.
Military Relationships through Recreation
Offering fishing and outdoor activities for veterans, wounded warriors, and their families, providing fellowship and support in their transition to civilian life. Our largest event is our Holes 4 Heroes.Reel Hope: A three phase experience that equips youth with hands on fishing skills, mentorship, and outdoor adventure—progressing from learning and restoring gear, to guided shoreline fishing, and culminating in a boat outing on a major MN lake.
- Lake Events: Organizing gatherings for all ages and skill levels, fostering community, fellowship, and shared passion for fishing through events like Pastors Tournament, our Ice Castle Ministry, and Wednesdays on the Water.
- Reel ‘Em In: Collecting, refurbishing, and re-distributing fishing gear to youths, families, veterans, and Fishing For Life program use.
Mobile Trout Ponds and Inflatable Games: Offering educational fishing activities at sport shows and events, providing children with hands-on fishing experiences and learning opportunities.
Special Events: Hosting annual events like our Fundraising Gala and golf tournaments, bringing people together to celebrate, connect, and support Fishing For Life’s mission.
