GEM Fishing Camp Director
Hello. My name is Dave Lindmark. I've been a fisherman all of my life. I grew up on a farm in Iowa often fishing in farm ponds and streams and vacationing in northern Minnesota.
After spending three years in the Army's 101st Airborne Division, I moved from Iowa to Minnesota to go to college where I would be closer to the Minnesota lakes I loved. I became a high school English teacher and coach at Minnehaha Academy in Minneapolis and worked there for 39 years.
In 1988 my wife, Margo and I felt called by God to invite urban youth to the cabin in northern Minnesota that we had at that time. That venture turned into Great Expectations Ministries (GEM) which expanded to different sites to accommodate more youth at the fishing camps. GEM became part of Fishing for Life in 2010, but I continue to be the GEM camp director and serve on the Fishing For Life board.
My wife Margo and I live in south Minneapolis. We have six children and eleven grandchildren.
